Ugh, the first blog post. The stench of newb. That one where it's all, "Hello world, it's me, la la la!". I wanted to try and do something different to that but it's already gone to a slightly cynical place here. Sorry.
Hello world! It's me! La la laaaa! My name is Rahix, I make music.
But being serious, I actually do; I've been a guitarist for over twenty years, having played in a few bands, churches and supporting friends with their own musical (and comedic) endeavours.
Right now I'm working on finishing the tracks I'm working on (check the top of the home page on this site) and writing more. I suppose it's a journey and it doesn't all happen in one night, but hopefully it comes about sooner rather than later, because, and sorry to be morbid, but who knows how long we have! What if it's only a month! My legacy might be some interesting but ultimately unfinished music that might have been decent. So a sense of urgency is required. When I find it, I'm in no doubt I'll get going on this.
But for now, me chipping away at trying to make something of myself in music means writing this blog post. So I'm diving in, before I'm all at sea. (groan).
